- The senior management buys 100% of the shares in Amentum from HSH Nordbank AG in a MBO. As HSH Nordbank starts to wind down its significant aircraft lending portfolio to reduce its US$ book after the global financial crisis, the successful aircraft investment & leasing solutions specialist Amentum becomes an independent service provider. Amentum continues to provide its high standard of services to all its existing customers and is mandated by HSH Nordbank as global service provider and exclusive remarketing agent for the long-term divestment of all HSH Nordbank owned aircraft.
- Amentum makes its specialist know-how more widely available on a third party basis and commences remarketing, aviation industry and credit research services for another major lessor.
- Amentum successfully manages the repossession of two 747-400ERF aircraft in one of the first ever unscheduled repossessions from China.
